Info on OPAL and editing others' posts on the blog
1. Here's the lowdown on OPAL: Aug 1 starts our first official year (last year was a beta test). The new charter is online at http://www.opal-online.org/charter200508.htm.
The cost is $200 per year per OPAL member (pro-rated if you start mid-year, and you can have mutliple libraries, a whole system, or a whole state join together as one OPAL member--and then as that one member, they'll all share one vote on the governing board.)
Each OPAL member agrees to plan and conduct at least two “fully public” OPAL events (i.e., events that are open to all library users worldwide) during the membership year.
More info on what you get as an OPAL member and what you agree to is in the charter.
Let me know if you have questions.
2. To edit others' posts on our blog....
a. Once you log in, just click on “Edit Posts” (just under the main tabs of Posting, Settings, Template, View Blog)
b. From the list of posts, just click the navy blue “edit” button for the post you want to contribute to, and you’ll be able to edit, preview, and publish just as if you were creating a new post.
Otherwise, if you’d prefer, you can just add comments to the post.
